The leather used in the Shoe Sole paddle comes from the UK’s last remaining oak bark tannery, using a traditional, organic method of soaking the leather in a liquor extracted from oak bark for up to 18 months. This process produces leather that is extremely durable, supple and beautifully patinated. The tannery is also environmentally friendly, using local water, natural materials and traditional craftsmanship. The end result is a rare, ecological and high-quality leather.
